Health Power, Inc. is a nationally unique corporation founded and headed by Norma J. Goodwin, M.D. Our commitment is to improving the health of multicultural populations. The Health Power web site provides authoritative, user-friendly culturally relevant health information and promotion messages to improve the health of multicultural populations. Alternative terms used by some for multicultural populations are minorities, people and communities of color, and diverse populations.

Dr. Goodwin, Founder, President and CEO, has worked for several decades in a variety of progressively responsible positions that improved the health of the nation's multicultural populations. Her experience includes settings such as: private practice, clinical, administrative and leadership positions in New York city's municipal hospital system, community health centers, and medical schools, professional associations, in federal, state and local governmental advisory and collaborative positions, and in partnerships with major corporations. Under her leadership, Health Power has gained broad recognition as a leader in providing multicultural/minority health information.

Dr. Goodwin wishes to underscore that without the unequivocal, moral, and financial support of her sister and Co-Founder, Phyllis A. Anderson, Health Power would not have been possible. Our Editors and Advisors also play a key role in our success as well as our Cross-linked Web Partners. The multi-year web sponsorship of the American Heart Association ? Heritage affiliate has been especially helpful, and grants from Aetna, GSK and Fusion Productions also contributed to our progress.

Health Power uses several approaches to achieve its objectives. Customized information is developed and widely disseminated through the Internet; through print and broadcast media, and other multimedia vehicles. Additional approaches include: consultations, conferences, seminars, workshops, and other trainings, focus groups and other market research, and partnerships and strategic alliances.
